Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 13th March 2026
These Terms & Conditions apply to all services provided by KopaClean. By booking, subscribing, or using our services, you agree to the following.
1. Service Availability & Pricing
All services are subject to availability and may be modified, updated, or withdrawn at any time.
KopaClean reserves the right to refuse service, suspend service, or cancel a subscription at its discretion, including (but not limited to) circumstances such as unsafe conditions, repeated access issues, non-payment, or inappropriate behaviour.
Prices are based on standard access conditions and typical bin presentation. Where unusual conditions apply, including excessive contamination, additional bins, or restricted access, additional charges may apply. Any such charges will be communicated before work is carried out.
Standard pricing covers the bins registered at the time of subscription. Additional bins presented for cleaning may incur additional charges or may not be serviced.
Services are intended for domestic household bins unless otherwise agreed.
2. Scheduling, Postponement & Rescheduling
KopaClean operates in alignment with Thurrock Council’s alternating bin collection schedule.
Services may occasionally need to be postponed due to weather, operational requirements, council collection changes, or other practical factors. Where possible, cleans may be carried out on an alternative date within the service cycle.
Due to route-based scheduling, individual service dates may occasionally vary.
Postponed cleans are not refunded or credited where the service remains available within the relevant subscription cycle.
Services may be delayed or postponed during periods of freezing temperatures, severe weather, or conditions that make cleaning unsafe or impractical. Where possible, service will resume once conditions allow.
3. Access & Property Conditions
Customers are responsible for ensuring bins are accessible, safe to clean, and correctly presented on the scheduled service day.
If access is not possible due to locked gates, obstructions, incorrect placement, animals, or similar circumstances, the service may be skipped for that visit and will resume at the next scheduled service cycle.
As the service remains available within the route, charges for that period remain payable.
KopaClean may take photos to document service conditions, access issues, or work completed for operational and record-keeping purposes.
4. Service Conditions
Bins must be empty and accessible on the scheduled service day in order to receive a full internal clean.
If waste remains inside the bin at the time of service, KopaClean may perform a limited exterior rinse and deodorising treatment only. The internal clean will not be carried out and the service will continue at the next scheduled visit.
No refund, credit, or rescheduling will apply where the bin was not empty at the time of service.
KopaClean reserves the right to decline or limit service where bins contain hazardous materials, chemicals, building waste, sharp objects, or any substances considered unsafe to handle.
5. Liability & Damage
KopaClean takes reasonable care when cleaning bins.
Cleaning involves the use of pressurised water and cleaning agents which may expose or worsen existing wear or damage.
By using the service, you acknowledge that:
-
Existing wear, defects, or damage may worsen during cleaning
-
Stickers, labels, paint, residue, or surface markings may lift or peel
-
Older or brittle bins may be more susceptible to damage
KopaClean is not responsible for cosmetic or structural damage to bins, driveways, or surrounding property where this results from pre-existing conditions or normal cleaning processes.
Where pre-existing damage or unusual conditions are observed, this may be documented for records.
Cleaning may result in water runoff onto surrounding surfaces such as driveways, pavements, or roads as part of the normal cleaning process.
6. Branding & Marketing
KopaClean may apply a small, weather-resistant service identification sticker to bins cleaned as part of the service.
These stickers assist with route identification, service verification, and brand awareness.
Customers are asked not to remove these stickers during active service. Stickers may be replaced if removed or damaged.
7. Subscriptions, Payments & Cancellations
All subscription services are billed in advance and operate on a rolling basis with no minimum term.
Customers may cancel their subscription at any time via the Stripe customer portal or by contacting KopaClean. To avoid being charged for the next billing cycle, cancellations must be made at least 48 hours before the next scheduled payment date.
If a payment has already been successfully processed, the current service cycle will continue until its end and no further charges will be taken.
Subscription pricing reflects the availability of service within the route rather than a guaranteed clean on every individual visit.
KopaClean may adjust subscription pricing from time to time. Customers will be notified in advance of any pricing changes.
Payments & Failed Payments
All subscription services are billed in advance of the scheduled clean.
If a recurring payment attempt fails, automatic retries may occur. If payment is not successfully completed before the scheduled service date, the clean may be skipped and the subscription may be paused until payment is resolved.
If payment is completed after a scheduled clean has been skipped due to non-payment, the payment will apply to the missed billing period. Missed cleans are forfeited and are not rebooked, refunded, or credited unless otherwise required by law.
Once payment is successfully completed, the subscription will resume automatically from the next scheduled service cycle.
Refund Policy
Refunds are considered on a case-by-case basis and may be issued at KopaClean’s discretion in exceptional circumstances.
8. Communication
By providing contact details, you consent to receive service-related communications including confirmations, updates, and important service information via email, SMS, or messaging services.
You may opt out of marketing communications at any time. Essential service communications may still be sent where necessary for service delivery.
9. Data Protection & Privacy
All personal data is handled in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
Customer data is used only for service delivery, communication, operational management, and legal or accounting purposes.
Further details are available in our Privacy Policy.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, KopaClean is not liable for:
-
Missed or delayed cleans due to factors outside reasonable control
-
Service interruptions caused by weather, council collection changes, access issues, or bin presentation
-
Indirect, incidental, or consequential losses
Any liability is strictly limited to the value of the specific service affected.
11. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
12. Acceptance
By booking, subscribing to, or using KopaClean’s services, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
